Overview

Two multi-select fields are available on the Contracts Information tab to track Industrial Base Technology List Category (IBTL) data:

• Industrial Base Technology List Category
• Industrial Base Technology List Subcategory

How To's

Track IBTL Data

1. Access the CONTRACTS MODULE ADD NEW screen (Contract Management menu > CONTRACTS MODULE SEARCH screen > + Add New button) or CONTRACTS MODULE UPDATE screen (Contract Management menu > CONTRACTS MODULE SEARCH screen > Find button > CONTRACTS MODULE LISTING screen > Update button), as applicable.
2. On the Contracts Information tab, scroll down to the IBTL fields.
3. To add an IBTL category, click in the Industrial Base Technology List Category field. A drop-down list displays.
4. Click the applicable category. The selected category displays in the field, and the associated subcategories automatically be available for selection in the Industrial Base Technology List Subcategory field.
5. To select an additional category, click in the field again and select the category.
6. To select a subcategory, click in the Industrial Base Technology List Subcategory field. A drop-down list displays with the subcategory selections available based on the categories selected.
7. Click the applicable subcategory. The selected subcategory displays in the field
8. To select an additional subcategory, click in the field again and select the subcategory.
9. Click the record's Add/Update button. A confirmation window displays.
10. Click OK. The CONTRACTS MODULE LISTING screen displays.

Modify IBTL Data

NOTE:  If you remove a category for which one or more subcategories were selected in the Industrial Base Technology List Subcategory field, the subcategories associated with the category will also be removed.

1. Access the CONTRACTS MODULE UPDATE screen (Contract Management menu > CONTRACTS MODULE SEARCH screen > Find button > CONTRACTS MODULE LISTING screen > Update button).
2. On the Contracts Information tab, scroll down to the IBTL fields.
3. To remove an IBTL category, click on the x next to the category's name. The category is removed from the field. NOTE:  If you remove a category for which one or more subcategories were selected in the Industrial Base Technology List Subcategory field, the subcategories associated with the category will also be removed.
4. To add an IBTL category, click in the Industrial Base Technology List Category field. A drop-down list displays.
5. Click the applicable category. The selected category displays in the field, and the associated subcategories automatically be available for selection in the Industrial Base Technology List Subcategory field.
6. To select an additional category, click in the field again and select the category.
7. To remove a subcategory, click on the x next to the subcategory's name. The subcategory is removed from the field.
8. To select a subcategory, click in the Industrial Base Technology List Subcategory field. A drop-down list displays with the subcategory selections available based on the categories selected.
9. Click the applicable subcategory. The selected subcategory displays in the field
10. To select an additional subcategory, click in the field again and select the subcategory.
11. Click the record's Update button. A confirmation window displays.
12. Click OK. The CONTRACTS MODULE LISTING screen displays.
